Some days are just super amazing and leave us grinning from ear to ear. But then there are some days that make us wonder the very purpose of our living.
Life always have these ups and downs, but for some reason we feel like the downs hit harder. In such situations it is easy to focus on only the negative aspects of life.
Action step: Make a gratitude journal or allot a separate notebook just for writing what you are grateful for. Write atleast three things you are grateful for at the end of everyday. Re-reading those will make you feel better
Gratitude is a powerful practice but can be easily overlooked. It is thanking life for the amazing things it has given us. When you have to thank life you’ll have to focus on the good things in life. This will make you realize despite everything you do have good things in life.
Here’s a list of things to be grateful for when you just can’t think if something to be grateful for
- Sharing a smile with a stranger.( I mean, the stranger could’ve smacked you instead 🤪)
- The change of seasons.
- The possibility to act like a kid again
- Those moments when you just can’t control your laughter.
- Coffee. Or tea. Or wine, soup, beer, milk, energy drinks. In short any liquid that boosts your mood Sleeping in
- For having that perfect outfit in your wardrobe
- A long, hot shower or bath.
- Wisdom that comes with age. We always grow through what we go through
- The smell of freshly baked cake
- Having a roof above your head
- Music
- Books, podcasts and movies
- Ability to read
- Lunch time
- Your best friends. For giving the best laughs of your life, for brightening your world
- Freedom to vote
- Your health and wellbeing
- Your parents. For giving this amazing life to you
- The sounds and smell of the ocean
- A bed to sleep
- Starry nights
- Having a passion
- Access to medication
- Snooze button. Come on! We all love it no matter how guilty we feel.

- The moment when your food comes at a restaurant.
